Really enjoyed this workshop. Maria and Joel are great instructors. They explained and demonstrated everything so everyone was able to follow and have fun. Can’t wait for next session.

Joel Salsa breaks down the classes by experience, ability to hear the congo beats, and comfortability in order to move to the next level.

I had a wonderful and valuable experience learning Mambo with Joel and Maria.They teach Mambo/Salsa using the rhythm of the conga the first class.This is so helpful for me.My dance steps are now smoother and flow.I am learning how to listen to the music to keep my steps on beat.

Joel and Maria’s classes are professional and fun, no matter if you are a beginner taking your first step or a seasoned dancer. There is a place for everyone. Communication is clear and steps are repetitive enough to learn. Questions are welcomed and precise instruction helps you navigate whatever you may not understand right away. In person classes are fun and welcoming and online classes are a gift you give yourself without even leaving your home. Everything they offer is very fairly priced for the professionalism and talent you receive .

Personally I have been to different dance schools before trying Joel Salsa, I feel connected to the method they use. It is different than the other ones. I have always wanted to dance salsa but it seemed so difficult for me because I don’t have a Latin background. This is the first time that I feel there’s hope because I’m more comfortable now on the dance floor. Joel and Maria are wonderful, they are very patient with me. I’m glad I made the choice to come to their school in Manhattan. I live in Suffolk county, Long Island, I drive an hour to get there but I have the determination to dance salsa no matter what. And I feel that I have made the right choice. My feet are lighter now on the dance floor.
