Hand Toss In Salsa Turn Patterns

We use hand tosses in Salsa turn patterns because they add some flair to your dancing! It is a great tool to learn, but it’s important to understand how to lead and follow these hand tricks to be able to execute them effortlessly into your dancing.

The lead’s intention should be clear so that the follower can understand exactly what to do and where you want them to go.

The follower can then style on her own once she’s given the proper momentum but this also requires the right amount of resistance and presence from the follower.

That way you can work as a team!

We use hand tosses to initiate specific turns or check turns. Take a look at our method of implementing these into your Salsa dancing!
