As you know there are quite a few styles of Salsa:
• Salsa On1 • Salsa On2 • Colombian style • Traditional style • etc.
There are also different ways to dance the same style! We mainly teach Salsa On2 at our studio and Online school also known as “NY Style” but we teach it differently than 1, 2, 3... 5, 6, 7. We help you train your ear to the instruments so you have something to connect to on the dance floor instead of the numbers in your head!
Don’t get me wrong. Numbers and structure are very important, but listening to the music and understanding how to play with different parts of the music are important too! This... is DANCING!
